Don't swift boat McCain, he is doing fine on his own

Several recent threads which examine McCain's war experiences are beginning to seem like Kerry all over again. While I do not know the exact details of McCain's war years, the posts I have seen make me unsure it is a smart thing to do. Accusing him of using crutches due to ejecting from his plane improperly to quotes from "fellow" warriors smacks of the swift boat days we all criticized. The graphic of his head on a bird saying he gave away secrets under torture is wrong. Comments from those who sit in an easy chair and attack someone from possibly talking during torture is unpleasant at best.

Lets let him swift boat himself based on his actions of recent. Attack his policies and his inconsistencies, not his war service. No good will come from attacking his service and will only give cover to his mistakes being made on Benghazi right now.

John McCain being saved from drowning. The Vietnamese on the left, probably Mai Van On, holds his arm. McCain was confronted by an angry mob when he reached shore.

his own name/brand. Partisan attacks with the purpose of diminishing their political foes instead of lifting up the country are the norm.
