In other news, I just returned from voting & I didn't even cry till I got outside & then I had to put my head against a tree hide my face.

moment in history. 3 elections now, we have been victorius. Well two for sure and a pretty sure feeling about my third history making vote counting in an effort to keep america in the sane camp. November 9 I think all the brownshirts are definitely going to know that anything they do that's stupid will just show them how outnumbered they are.

As a white guy I often forget to think about how Obama's and Clinton's elections will affect and inspire people.

As one wag put it, the Clinton inauguration will be when eight-year-olds get to experience their first white President.

Seeing Hillary's name on the ballot today did make my heart jump a beat. I suspect the moment she's announced as our President-Elect I'll be tearing up.

Yes, we'll have saved the country and also done something else quite remarkable: elected our first woman to the Office of the Presidency.

A Big F**cking Deal, to quote Joey Biden.

And we'll have the Democratic Party and so many hard-working, faithful people to thank for both spectacularly historic events. It's like two moonshots, back-to-back.

Utterly blows my mind!

Makes me really, really proud of the country. Something to tell my grand babies about. If I ever have any, that is. But hey, I'm a believer now so anything's possible. :0)

I will be taking my little girl with me, so that she can help me push that button.
And so that I can tell her one day she was there.

I cried my eyes out when I voted in the primary; I'm thinking this will just be a flood...

And this OP is beautiful.

I'm voting Thursday; MD is late for early voting, but that's okay! I can't wait to fill in that little oval beside Hillary's name. I can already feel the tears welling! Thanks for posting.

When I glanced at the ballot and saw Hillary's name was really there, I felt such a rush of emotions, I didn't know if I would laugh or cry, but then I burst out with a sort of cheer and started clapping (good thing I was at home and not in a booth!), and my little dog came running and barking, not sure what was going on. I'm just so proud of Hillary. What a contrast! The first woman to be at the top of the ticket, who is brilliant and highly accomplished, versus her opponent, a classless, revolting ignoramus, who's clearly a racist, misogynist, sexual pervert, con artist, and pathological liar.

My mom felt the same and said she is really happy to have lived long enough and in a time when she could vote for the first black President, who is such an awesome, wonderful President, and for the first woman President, who is brilliant, strong, and determined.
