Related: About this forumTweety saying that Trump can still win because of battle ground polls.
Then he tells Trump how to beat Hillary.

(8,791 posts)On CNN they announced the Fox poll as if it's the only poll that's come out recently. Then they announed matter of factly that Trump was +2 in Florida now, citing the Selzer poll, as if it's the only FL poll out there.

(6,716 posts)I always used to get suckered into watching that show until I realized that he does this to the Democrat before every Presidential election. Someone wrote just yesterday that he is a closet Republican...I agree completely!

(7,581 posts)to refuse to address Wikileaks. I would say, "I'm not going to address emails stolen by a foreign foe - there is no evidence that they haven't been tampered with. Have you been able to verify them?" to whomever is asking the question.
End of discussion. Let them blah, blah, blah all they want - no one who is voting for Hillary cares what Podesta and others said in private emails.
And isn't this like regular mail? Why are the media sharing them?

(2,795 posts)When he was totally in love with Obama. He literally slobbered when he talked about Obama.
Not the second time around though. The bromance was over and then he would do the same thing maybe even worse to try and make Obama look like he was going to lose to Romney in 2012. He kind of took a shine to Mittens if I recall.

(2,795 posts)If Trump wasn't so vulgar, Tweety would have found his charisma and ability to work the media and camera titillating.

(58,698 posts)if Trump had stuck to his original lies about ending wars and blocking trade and immigration, he would probably be more competitive, and the media would have a better horse race. Trump, of course, has no message discipline, so it's a bit of a moot point.

(14,565 posts)Chris Matthews actually bragged about that years ago. It's nearly an exact quote, although I don't remember the year.
He waits until the result is all but cemented in the final days. Then he'll be bold.

He deserves a few years on the bench. Let him be one of the panel guests, but he has passed expiration of being a host.

(5,648 posts)I have always refused to watch networks which have a reputation of running news through an ideological filter before dispensing it to the public. That means I never watch FOX News or MSNBC, though I understand that MSNBC, which is losing money, is trying to become more "fair and balanced"
I don't think that it is very bright for a network to try to become more "balanced" by adding right wing hosts to counter the left wing hosts they already have. That simply means that they are going to piss off at least half of their audience all of the time.
I like my news straight and then I can decide if I want to put a political spin on it myself. I don't need anyone to pre-chew my news and regurgitate it for me like a mother bird feeding her chicks.

(297,564 posts)known except I saw it on DU years ago.
Yeah, I liked my news like Walter Cronkite gave it to us.. that's one reason I cut off all corporate manufactured news from my life in 2002.. I couldn't stand what the US media had become. And I had only started watching it in 2000 with the election. Before that I was traveling around and not paying any attention to tv.
Apt analogy!

(3,251 posts)His hair now is white, not blond, so any resemblance to him and the Warner Brothers cartoon character is silly.
Can you imagine what it would be like to be married to him?
Frankly, I would rather not think about it.

(22,047 posts)Does Chris Matthews really have any power over the election? The viewership of MSNBC is a very small sliver of the electorate and it seems realistic that the vast majority of that audience leans Democratic. They're not going to change their minds because of a talking head on cable news.
More significantly, Mr. Mathews advice to Donald Trump will never be followed. As with the rest of his campaign, Mr. Trump knows how to win better than everyone else and he doesn't need advice from anyone.
The scientific polls tell us all we need to know. They are consistent, thorough and detailed. If Democrats get out the votes, we'll wake up on November 9th with lots of great news.

(11,605 posts)Only a fraction of the country has voted already. Trump can still win until the polls close.
I am not sure why so many Democrats are eager to declare victory now. We risk suppressing our own vote too.

(14,856 posts)... but I couldn't find it.
It was filled with complaints about Tweety constantly interrupting Michael Moore.
This video pretty much tells me that he dislikes Moore's "negativity" about the USA. He doesn't like Phil Donahue either. Listen to him bring up Michael Moore at around the 1:20 mark of the interview with Donahue.
He also compared Osama Bin Laden to Moore in the past!

Meanwhile, Tweety has acted like he's "in love" with wretches like Kellyanne Conway in the past, rarely interrupting her. Why? He probably thinks she sounds "upbeat" and "pleasant" or something.
He might as well work at FOX if he's going to keep talking over guests!!
