Trump interview on EWTN: refuses to discuss "prayer life," says Catholics should be shunned if they

don't vote for him.

So Trump is on Raymond Arroyo's "news" show on the highly conservative Catholic cable channel EWTN. Arroyo is a friendly interviewer (to say the very least -- EWTN is a hard-core conservative Catholic channel), and is certainly not out to ask "gotcha" questions or anything even remotely resembling a gotcha question. Arroyo asks Trump about his prayer life in the most open way possible, and Trump very rudely and abruptly answers, saying that he won't answer that question as it is too personal (and shaming Arroyo for asking him SUCH A PERSONAL QUESTION!!!). This is right after Trump tells Arroyo that all Catholics should vote for him, and if they don't, they should be shunned by Trump-voting Catholics. He can't talk about his prayer life, in any way whatsoever, but he is the ONLY answer for Catholics.

Seriously you can't make this shit up. This arrogant, smug ass is informing Catholics that they should vote for his glorious, righteous, holy self, but he can't even craft a sentence about his prayer life. Yeah...

supposed "Christian" is just ridiculous. It was very obvious (imho) that he lashed out at arroyo because he barely knows ANY prayer much less the idea of a prayer life. His total insincerity is so obvious yet evangelicals at least are voting for him (so far the Catholic majority is voting for hrc)

I am Catholic but EWTN has gone off the rails into ultra-right territory. EWTN was always pretty conservative, even for a Catholic channel, but it has gone even harder right lately.

Trump and the EWTN crew deserve each other. He is what the hard right has always wanted so let them have their hero.

O most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honoureth and invoketh thee universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, and of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, who am so miserable. Make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded to thee, to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of. Come to mine assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and succor of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (here make your request) and that I may praise God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour, to always honour thee as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to thee. Amen.
