Here’s why current polling suggests it will be very hard for Trump to win

It continues to be the case that the best lens through which to look at the 2016 campaign is the 2012 one. Mitt Romney lost four years ago, earning 206 electoral votes out of the 270 he needed. Donald Trump's task, then, is to add 64 electoral votes from somewhere while holding on where Romney was successful. If he can't do that, he can't win.

And now we'd like to walk through why current polling suggests he can't do that.

I just can't believe a candidate like him, with an incompetently run campaign like his, could even come close.

But this is interesting and could be reassuring on election night if he wins Florida. Thanks!
