Secret Recordings Fueled FBI Feud in Clinton Probe
Agents thought they had enough material to merit aggressively pursuing investigation into Clinton Foundation

Reading this article the reader must ask themselves the question, "Is there an element or group of agents so against Hillary that they are willing to break the law to tie her to a crime?"
The agents use innuendo and questionable sources to pursue Hillary. They seem to try to make the crime fit the person by inventing actions and events that did not occur. What is going on with the leadership at the FBI?

(9,600 posts)Facts and information that they can thoroughly and independently verify. You would think that professional FBI agents would not use, he said, she said, they said, I read somewhere, it was printed in this fake newspaper, someone wrote it in a book, etc., innuendo.

The FBI hasn't changed very much since Hoover.

(58,785 posts)Comey seems to have "lost control of his house." In any organization there are going to be some bad apples, and the ones in the FBI are in position to do great harm and, as we see, also very willing.

(118,677 posts)shared grievances and dependant aspirations with the GOP cult. Otherwise how does anyone who thinks and feels want Trump to be president? So shitstorm after shitstorm get instigated by people who import the fever from outside the FBI. Less of a fever and more of a virus of the mind.

(108,980 posts)but now he's on the Trump train -- which shocked me. He started blabbing about how evil Hillary is, and I said he's been reading too much Breitbart. He didn't deny that -- but then he started talking about all these FBI friends he has and all the stuff they're digging up on her and how terrible she is.
So when I heard about the rogue FBI agents that are out to get Hillary, it all fell into place. They're reading Breitbart and using the debunked book "Clinton Cash" as their bible. That agency needs to be thoroughly cleaned out, from top to bottom.

(92,212 posts)influence the election. Fox is notorious for quoting "anonymous" sources in the FBI, with stories that were false:
http://mediamatters.org/research/2016/04/10/150-fbi-agents-fiasco-isnt-first-time-anonymous-sources-have-burned-foxs-herridge/209835
In fact on google news they put a fox story out regarding the "Clinton Foundation", attributing it to "anonymous" sources within the FBI. I won't dignify its contents, except to say there really is a right wing conspiracy, and it needs to be cleaned up. The FBI is a compromised agency, with rogue agents that are leaking false information, to influence the election. Heads need to roll on this.

(5,611 posts)post. Herridge on Fox is one of the worst "reporters" out there -- her entire job is about dredging up some thinly sourced nonsense about terrorism to scare the fox viewers OR to dredge up garbage about Hillary (as you note, based on who knows what). She has been very wrong, many times. She also delivers her "reports" in this ridiculous, breathy manner -- like it is top secret info about to break any second (which it never does).

(92,212 posts)agree with you, Herridge like fox is about dishonesty. bret baier another dishonest broker was spewing out unnamed FBI sources that was copied on Google news last night. It is all BS
The other outlets are following a different lead than fox, they are pushing the "polls tightening" theme.
The whole thing is disgusting

(8,902 posts)the number of Trump supporters within the FBI closely reflects the population in general, maybe even more due to authoritarian tendencies

Everything from fraud across state lines with Trump University. Bribing public officials with campaign cash to drop charges. Trump being caught having illegal and secret computer banking accounts hidden inside of international banks allowing the passage of secret messages to Russian Intelligence agencies. No, the FBI agents do not investigate or leak any of these Trump activities. Why?

Trump will win the same percentage of Republicans as Romney and McCain did, and he'll win more electoral votes than either.
Never Trumpers can make a big show of registering as independents, but they're going to vote for Trump supporters up and down the ballot line. They have nowhere else to go.

(11,519 posts)Comey's actions pertaining to Hillary's email probe are probably career ending. I've been askig myself why he would take such reckless actions, and I can really only think of three things.
A) He's a totally clueless moron, which is possible but I doubt it given that he did manage to climb to be the director of the FBI.
B) He's being paid handsomely to help sway the election.
C) Someone has some serious dirt on him which is so awful that it's worth risking his career over.
In any case he needs to be sacked as soon as possible.

(675 posts)But Obama needs to pardon Hillary and her staff after she wins otherwise this nonsense will continue through her first term.
Just bite the bullet and do it, issue a broad pardon to everyone who might be caught up in whatever the FBI is investigating and end it in one clean sweep.
Sure, it will create a bit of a right wing media tantrum but it will insure Hillary hits the ground running with her enemies having nothing on her to hold her back.
Obama is at the height of his popularity, the American public still basking in the glow of having just elected the first female president will give him the benefit of the doubt and will see the pardon as a friendly gesture from one historic figure to another.
Whatever backlash there may be in the media will be quickly forgotten by most Americans as they get on with their lives and celebrate the holiday season. By the time Hillary is sworn in it will be old news. Republican politicians will actually be relieved to tell the rabid right 'sorry, we can't investigate Hillary, the case was made by the voters and they don't want any more Clinton scandals'.

(675 posts)But after Hillary wins the election Obama should put a halt to this witch hunt.
Just issue a broad pardon for Hillary and her staff and end the nonsense.
Let Hillary start with a clean slate, shut up the rabid right wingers once and for all.

(675 posts)They're going to think Hillary is guilty of all kinds of nonsense regardless of her being pardoned. Obama could end all of this quickly and easily, legally the repukes would not be able to do anything about it, it would be over, case closed.
We need to give Hillary a fresh start after winning her historic victory, the American people as a whole don't want any more partisan witch hunts, people could care less which email address Hillary used and they are fed up with political grandstanding.
Hillary could again admit she made a mistake by not using a government email account and at the same time announce as President she will modernize the antiquated government system so government officials won't need to set up their own servers and accounts. President Obama could explain that despite the fact that the Dept. of Justice sees no basis to prosecute Hillary she may have technically broken the law even though no evidence of any criminal intent has been found. Obama could explain that the pardon is necessary to finally silence the endless right wing conspiracy acting in opposition of the Clintons going on 25 years.
