****BREAKING!!!!!!**** Great Concern!!!!

I'm very concerned that we have heard nothing from Jeffrey Epstein, who could clear this all up in a nanosecond (especially if Trump is not guilty of the rape charges) by stating for the record that Trump did not attend sex parties that involved underage girls. Is Epstein dead, or what?

The young woman's story is horrifying, and my impulse is to believe her, based on what we've seen of Trump's entitled attitude toward the female body and on his own statement that Jeffrey Epstein dated younger women, sometimes *very much* younger women. The charge is horrific if it's false, too--what could be more damaging to a politician (I know, emails), a businessman, a father than to face untrue charges like these?

I think the weight of truth is in the young woman's side of the scales. I wonder if Epstein (assuming he's not dead) has been subpoenaed to testify on the young woman's behalf.

He was released early for good behavior. I guess because there were no women where he was locked up.

In June 2008, after pleading guilty to a single state charge of soliciting prostitution from girls as young as 14,[26] Epstein began serving an 18-month sentence. He served 13 months, and upon release became a registered level three (high risk of re-offense) sex offender.[27][28] There is widespread controversy and suspicion that Epstein got off lightly.[29]

I guess no one finds it suspicious that he was soliciting a 14-year-old! That's what I find 'suspicious.'

And I have reservations about basing our side's campaign upon a scared woman feeling forced to talk about what must have just been a hellish experience.

no, but--since I didn't realize Epstein was named in the suit--I just thought it odd that the one person would could exculpate Trump was silent on the topic, credible or not. No way I suggested basing a campaign on this, or indeed forcing the victim to talk.

How is this "BREAKING" - ?

I really wish DU posters would stop with the stupid and unnecessary threads. This one is particularly bunk. Just because YOU have great concern doesn't mean the rest of us should be tricked into clicking on your thread to read nonsense.

Dude, Epstein isn't going to clear up anything. If you'd simply googled, you'd not wasted any of our time with your BREAKING thread.

Enough with this, folks, please.

Sorry some of us don't care for all the "BREAKING" BS & the click-bait threads just so someone can make a joke.

Actually, sorry not sorry.

when you saw all those exclamation points and asterisks and the "greatly concerned," didn't you kind of suspect that it was a joke? And then decide to ignore the post, if you didn't feel like a joke at that moment? I mean, I really and truly am not trying to put out "click bait;" not even really sure why anyone would; I'm not trying to make you angry or upset. I honestly thought the clumsiness of my post title would bring a little smile. I am at least as annoyed as anyone else by the "breaking" titles--hell, I tried 20 years ago on usenet to get people to stop using it--and while I know you probably have not read any other of my posts, I am on the record as being on the "calm down, fretting doesn't help anything plus it makes your stomach hurt" side of the Concerned question.

I'm sorry my little attempt to brighten your day pissed you off. I would undo it if I could. I really am sorry.
