The irony of Melania's speech about bullying is stunning.

Jesus, the artifice here. You'd think she had never met her husband--you know, that guy who degrades and bullies and demeans.

I won't criticize her personally but her words are mind-boggling.

In her world,, her husband is a faithful spouse and doting father and constant gentleman. (or so it would seem from her stilted, wooden press appearances )...

He is loved by all and a stark contrast to that hateful woman saying lies.

The human brain is capable of a astounding self-delusion.

To woman he's interviewing: "Will Melania be able to elevate herself to the same level as Michelle Obama in these last 5 days?"

Ivanka was going on about how kind and caring her father was and I just about puked! Are these women really that stupid? Are they brainwashed? Or are they just flat out lying hoping even dumber people will believe them?

I just can't believe the nerve of these people! It's not just embellishing the truth, what they are saying is exactly the OPPOSITE of the truth.

Nov 2016

I was married to a woman who had been abused in previous relationships(MOST previous relationships, from what I could tell), and she educated me as to how this works.

(apologies for redundant information here to anyone who already knows how this plays out...but this is an explanation for those who don't)

An abuser destroys his victims' sense of confidence, autonomy, and self. He does all he can to cut her off from friends or any support network, gets control of the finances, uses every possible method to knock it into her head(and that includes LITERALLY knocking it into her head)that she is nothing without him and cannot make it on her own.

Even with all the wealthy involved, Trump knows how to do all of this. I'm pretty sure no one in his family is ever allowed to feel that they have any sense of personal worth and any belief that they are able to do anything at all in their own right. They can ONLY matter if he gets everything he wants.

She has no agency in this.

And I'm pretty sure Trump has persuaded her that to defy him publicly in any way at all means she ends up on a one-way flight back to Slovenia.

They think of everything bad about Trump and proceed to tell giant, persistent lies pretending Hillary has those same faults. Anything he's accused Hillary of and he hasn't yet done, watch for it.

This has been their modus operandi for the campaign. I noticed a while back that everything Trump castigated Clinton for, sure enough something would come out the next week that showed how he was guilty of the very thing he was accusing her of. Nauseating and transparent, except for half of the population.

The constant demonizing of Democrats in general, and some in particular, has been well planned, well funded, and quite effective. Our side needs to get our wealthy to pony up and provide that counter story, not just at election time, but constantly, to counteract the twisted RW story line.
