Republicans hope to avoid anti-Trump wave in the House - USA Today

Any prayer Democrats have of taking back the House begins with seats like this one, where Donald Trump is an ill fit for the college-educated moderates who populate the outer suburbs of Washington, D.C.

“I watched all the debates and I cringed,” said Megan Rivera, interviewed during a visit with her two daughters to the Pumpkin Village Fall Fest in Northern Virginia’s Loudoun County. “I know he’s a good businessman, but as president of the United States, it’s scary.”

Republican Barbara Comstock’s costly re-election fight here is a test of the “Trump effect” — whether the GOP nominee drags some of his party’s congressional candidates down to defeat.

Some Democratic gains are widely expected. - USA Today

Nevada Dems are absolutely banking on anti-Trump sentiment running high enough, that in liberal Las Vegas, Joe Heck (R) is reportedly getting crushed in early voting.

Jon Ralston
"...raw votes are raw votes. And that 55,500 firewall means a lot, indicating Trump will be down double digits when those first numbers pop up on Tuesday evening. Joe Heck (R) also can't like to see these numbers, especially since everything I have heard indicates he is being crushed in the early vote."
