http://www.politico.com/states/f/?id=00000158-2c1a-d86f-a558-aebf86740001Clinton is running away with Women hispanics in all 3 states by margins of over 62%+
Florida Cubans usually go big for GOP, it splits this year and the other hispanics go by huge margins.
This is such a good poll for HRC.

(15,369 posts)the answers to these two open-ended questions:
-- Who is the one person that you trust the most in the Democratic party?
It was Hillary across the board, followed by No One, surprisingly, IMO, given Prez O's general popularity.
-- Who is the one person that you trust the most in the Republican party?
The answer was No One by large percentages across the board.

I'm not trying to be facetious. I really didn't know this.

(52,162 posts)His first four years he pretty much did nothing toward immigration (both of his executive orders occurred after the 14 election). He also didn't do many good appointments of Hispanics which disappointed some.

(15,369 posts)President Obama's first four years really only translated to two when he had majorities in BOTH Houses of Congress. Even during those first two years, a LOT of Dems - shamefully - had to be dragged kicking and screaming to support much of his agenda, which is one reason why his efforts then may not have been bolder. He also lacked DC experience somewhat (had only been a Senator for four years) and he truly seemed to believe that today's GOP could be persuaded by facts, reason and logic.
As we ALL know, the GOP, especially since Bush-Cheney, has been the epitome of selfish, fact-challenged, irrational and illogical thinking. Donald Trump represents that more than anyone else, but it's simply a question of degree. They're all like him.
During those first two years, many efforts were spent trying to get the US back on its feet after the worst financial disaster since the Depression, dealing with the wars he inherited from Bush-Cheney, regaining US goodwill on the global scene, trying to undo many of Bush-Cheney's most disastrous policies (foreign and domestic), and trying to get health care reform passed, among other things. In the circumstances, it is understandable that immigration may have fallen by the wayside somewhat in those early years. By his second term, he had realized exactly what today's GOP is and became bolder. I also believe that most Hispanics are intelligent and fair enough to understand why action on immigration may not have been immediately forthcoming.
But the issues you mention may also help to explain the results of the poll.
