I absolutely HAVE to reshare this and give props. My friend who wrote this is a great writer, and this is probably one of his best:
It's just... impossible to choose. One grandma candidate did stupid things with the internet and emails that she shouldn't have done, and apologized and learned, but still seems suspicious.
And another candidate has suggested NATO is unnecessary (while being ignorant of the fact that the US is the only country to have invoked NATO militarily), threatened to let Russia absorb Western European nations if they don't pay us more, and ultimately has refused to condemn Russia's corrupt and murderous KGB dictator, Vlad Putin, for anything, even in the debates.
He has threatened to refuse to accept our democratic election unless he wins, is sending armed minions to polling stations with significant minority populations, and again, refuses to accept our US intelligence agencies saying that Russia is trying to influence the elections. His tax plan has been reviewed by many independent, nonpartisan organisations and even in its revised version it just blasts open the deficit. While it's not 50x what Hillary's plan is anymore, it's still 8x. This candidate intends to end birthright citizenship, and, in a fun white nationalist move, to make sure that immigrants are "measured by population share" to conform to "historical norms". Huh. Wonder what he means?
He hired the head of a white nationalist "alt right" website to be his campaign CEO. After he had hired a man to be his campaign manager who helped a Russian stooge and kleptocrat hold onto power in Ukraine. After he hired a man to be his campaign manager who is a moron.
He is a man who has won the vote of evangelicals while spitting on everything they say they believe because he will let them keep their Supreme Court. He promises!
He is a man who has used so many contractors to build his buildings yet never pays them what he agreed. He is a man who intentionally let his shareholders' stock crash in the 90s while he grifted millions. He is a man who appears at charity functions for the TV cameras when he has never donated. He is a man who gives fake 'million' dollar bills at teacher's charity functions then gives them $200 after they realize they've been pranked. He is a man who... could care less about anybody else.
Sigh. This is all off the top of my head. Let's keep slogging.
He is a man who is so despicable toward women that I can't even describe it. He has claimed he can sexually assault women against their will because he is famous. And after we learned he said this, more than ten women came forward who said he was telling the truth... that he was in fact a sexual predator. And he said... Nah.... also he's promised to sue any women who dares speak out.
He is a man who takes revenge. If you insult him or even don't support him likes he thinks you should (like Paul Ryan learned this year), he stops everything else and attacks. He is vengeful. Iraqi ships yell insults? Start that war, he said. An old beauty queen says he said bad things about her way back when? Destroy her reputation. Hillary brings another billionaire to the debate? Trump brings three mistresses her husband allegedly sexed. The Republican party isn't supportive? Burn them to the ground.
He is a man who is insane. He is a man who tramped around the country saying that our first black president wasn't from the U.S. He continued to cry out for the death penalty for five black and Hispanic teens who had been cleared of a rape charge by DNA evidence after they had spent more than a decade falsely imprisoned. He renewed that demand for their deaths, after being definitively cleared... *weeks* ago.
He bragged about walking into the changing rooms of hot 15 year old girls because he owned their beauty pageant.
He is a man who started a fake real estate 'university' to steal from poor and old people. He is a man who said that an Indiana judge should not decide his Fraud case because "he's Mexican". Because his parents immigrated to here from Mexico. He also said that no one who is Muslim should be allowed to be a judge for him.
He is a man who has said he wants to change the country's libel laws so that our free press can't say 'untrue' things about him... things which are almost universally simply quoting him. He is a man who has banned a dozen newspapers from having reporters in his press pool when he didn't like their stories. He is a man, again, who refuses to condemn Putin, who murders the members of the press who do not support him, as lately as last week.
He is a man who... has about 40 more deplorable flaws, but I'm getting tired.
Head Birther. Didn't write Art of the Deal. Asked about why we can't use nukes. Ugh, nuclear proliferation in general. Attacked a gold star family. Gave a convention speech from hell. Fearmongers and lies about black people. Lies reflexively about the freaking NFL. Employs Roger Ailes immediately after one of the biggest sex abuse scandals in history.
Uggghhh.... there's so much more. I'm so tired.
He is a man who has been condemned as unfit for office by Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, George W., Jeb, and George H.W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. The biggest Republican donors refuse to support him, and many are supporting Evan McMullen. No major newspaper will endorse him, even if they always endorse Republicans. Many newspapers that never endorse have gone out of their way to tell their readers to not vote for him.
And yet, I've barely cracked the surface of his evil. The Trump foundation, the bribe to Pam Bondi, the public affair with Marla Maples meant to shame his wife... none of this is even into the conspiracy level, it's all, so far, well documented. His failure to name a book of the bible correctly. His mocking of the NY Times reporter. Okay, I have to stop.
But yeah. Hillary should never have allowed those two or three mislabeled classified emails to go onto her private server. That's equal.
Go vote, please.
