she picks up one electoral vote h=that she wasn't really banking on. Just like is Trumps takes a Congressional district in Maine he picks up one electoral vote that he wasn't really banking. All states except Maine and Nebraska are winner take all. In those two states, the popular vote winner in that state gets two electoral votes and then the winner of each of the congressional districts gets one electoral vote.
