BTRTN: Clinton Maintains Lead, Though Swing State Support Softening; Has She Weathered the Worst? (Original Post) tgards79 Nov 2016 OP
BS editorialising about softening not supported by facts. Almost all comments about polls go beyond Foggyhill Nov 2016 #1

It didn't say that in the article...she will win on election day.

Condensing that to "softening" to make a shorter subject title for a post here is hardly grounds for declaring someone has "revealed" themselves. Those phrases both mean essentially the same thing.

Yes, there are real trolls out there, but this kind of hypersensitivity to slim perceived evidence, followed by quick and nasty snap judgment, is neither fair nor necessary.

...when Solids go to Leans and Leans to Toss-ups, that is "softening." I am a Hiilary supporter but the numbers are the numbers.

I appreciate that! Just trying to explain further. Very grateful, did not mean for you to think otherwise!

If this election dragged on for yet another month, or even a couple of weeks, Trump could very well be on top. As it is, I think it will be close. Almost everyone here would never NOT vote for Hillary, the same determination is evident in the other camp. But there are a whole lot of ignorant idiots that get up each morning with less and less retention of past news events, and if enough time has past after some bombshell (like the bus tapes) and enough apologists have softened the story and/or created a false equivalency with the other candidates husbands behaviour to cloud the issue, and a new story (like the FBI finding 'new' emails) allows Trump and his surrogates to then falsify it further into announcing an inevitable indictment, then things can alter swiftly. Its all about what news stories, or invented scandals, are being discussed the day before most people go out and vote that will affect this mushy uniformed lot on the fence.

...and that of course is why what Comey did was so reprehensible, because he knew that the FBI had not even read anything and also knew his announcement amounted to pure fodder. I bet Obama fires him on November 10.
