Obama approval up to 54 percent in Gallup today

highest it's been since October 2009

and if that number's coming from the 'unskewed' Gallup, it probably much higher than that in reality.

Looks like FOX's 24/7 attempts to create Whitewater 2.0 in the form of the fake Benghazi-gate scandal are going nowhere.

You can't play nice with terrorists and zealots, Mr. Obama.

It's time to break out that steamroller and use it on them now while they're having their crisis of faith.

You might not get the same chance later.

People are looking for leadership.

Obama was consistent during the campaign that he would not extend the Bush tax cuts, that rates on the wealthiest must rise but that tax relief for the middle class must continue.

He is now cashing in his political capital from the election. The American people are with him. Even a majority of Republicans think the wealthy can afford to pay more.

I don't care whether the marginal rates go up or not as long as those that have enjoyed the benefits of our system and have gotten their offshore accounts contribute more. That can be in the form of eliminating tax deductions, etc. as long as those changes are targeted to the uber-wealthy. For example, exempt home mortgage interest on the first $300K on a primary residence. Any thing over that is non-deductible. But perhaps the uber-wealthy just pay cash for their mansions. I don't know since I am among the 98%.

The repubs can whine and cry but two of their big concerns is about to change, defense and taxes going up. Chief Muslim Grover is the terror mood and I doubt he can primary all of them and the Tp did not do well in many places and managed to assist in electing Democrats or Independents leanng Democrat. Thanks TP.

I don't think they ever use the LV screen for that, even close to the election. I am not sure if they use registered voters or all adults.
