Boehner's Offer Of $800 Million In Revenue Is Just An Agreement to Agree! Worthless!
The one thing that the mainstream media is ignoring is that Republicans proposed $800 million in new revenue lacks and specifics AND Republicans say that the details will be worked out later!
What does this mean? Its guarantee for more gridlock, which would allow Republicans to easily renege on their promise. Worse, Republicans can purposely tank any agreement on the elimination of deductions, blame the President, then turn around and use the debt limit to demand additional cuts due to the failure to reach an agreement on revenue!
Yet, the corporate media gives Republicans a free pass. We know where President Obama's revenue is coming from: The expiration of tax cuts for the top 2 percent. As for the Republicans, all we have is $800 million in mystery meat and IOUs.
