If you can't win honestly, change the rules. The GOP is at it again.
After gerrymandering themselves into bulletproof safe districts until the next Census in 2020, the GOP now wants to change the rules for how the President is elected. For some reason, the system that brought us Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43, is no longer acceptable to ensure another GOP presidency, without again rigging the rules.

Yes there are already some districts which divide their vote up proportionately, but those rules have been in affect for sometime, now. They are not in response to a hyperventilating party in defeat trying to rig the system because they can't win otherwise.
It's a good thing that the Affordable Care Act provides for pre-existing conditions because Obama Deranged Syndrome has now reached epidemic proportions. I don't recall that when the SCOTUS stopped the recount in Florida in 2000 assuring Bush 43 the presidency, Democrats calling for the dismantling of our system of electing the Presidency which has served us for more than 200 years.
For the record, the proportioning of electoral votes now being proposed would have given the GOP Ohio in 2012 since most of the minority votes were clustered in urban districts. So instead of crafting a message that resonates with the voting electorate at large, the GOP continues to conspire to come up with ways to change the system to ensure a outcome that support their narrow vision of what America should be. It's not going to work. We must be vigilant when they start trying to tinker with the process. As vigilant as the Tea Party was in 2010 if it means storming congressional town hall meetings and congressional offices. We can't give an inch on this; it's too important.
