I was lucky enough to be there.

But, yeah the scary "what if" thing this time around was big.

I would have killed to be there that night. But I did get to go to his last rally in 2008 in Manassas, which was almost as exciting. We could all feel it that he was going to win (although I was still nervous on Election Day), and the excitement in the air was amazing.

leadership when the GOP were so certain they would win is sweeter for me. It also proved that an African-American president was no fluke--he was re-elected by the American people.
