There is only one thing that troubles me whenever I see these numbers. When we take into account the GOP suppression of Democratic votes, the results are great, a real triumph.

But that 60 million voted for Romney & Ryan with their Ayn Rand philosophy, for greed and bigotry, and didn't mind the outright lying, is deeply troubling to me.

That's why I tell people to keep working. Those people did not leave and are working their agenda on local and state levels. We need a generation of work.

And just for you, since it never gets old:

Absofuckinglutely. It also strikes me as particularly awful that so many Americans would vote for someone with that bullying incident, leading a gang to cut a gay classmate's hair, as an un-repented part of their history. Not only did he not apologize or show any remorse, he apparently still thinks it's hilarious.

I don't know if I'm what is called a "concern troll" but I don't see any reason that the 2014 midterms will be that much different than the 2010 midterms. Unless we do better at GOTV than we did in 2010. I read that 45 million who voted in 2008 didn't show up to vote in 2010.

That Obama was being obstructed or that he was no different than Bush. Some are singing that tun now, so I don't expect any help from them in 2014. That's just in online discussions, those who went out and did what they could can do it again.

The media has pulled back the veil and shown who they support this year, as if we couldn't see before, and it's going to go full steam ahead to do the same thing it did in 2010. Nordquist says they will have a Tea Party 2 and they have as much money they did then. It would take longer than two years to tax them into getting out of government.

We divide ourselves and argue about things and despite some squalling from the right, they haven't been shut down because of the money. They'll be working every single day in every district just like they have for the last twenty years, along with their increasingly political churches galvanizing their base. If we stand still, bicker among ourselves, or go back, they'll finish us off.

There are other numbers to root for, like Obama going over EXACTLY 51.0%, or Obama going over 5 MILLION popular votes more than Romney. All of these changes in the right direction are reasons to celebrate and release some more Victory Endorphins.

Dave Wasserman of Cook has been systematically updating his numbers, going county by county through the results and the Romney number has been steadily decreasing, a few hundredths of a percent each day.

the 47.32% is the lowest number Wasserman has had for Romney thus far, though this number has been continually dropping.

But at the link above mine that you replied to, they show Romney at 47.0% with fewer votes than he has now. And they have Obama at 51.something%, higher than it is now.

ETA: I am SO dumb! I could've just looked at my own link to get Wasserman's name!

For example, the numbers for California look close for Obama but way off for Romney, so their attention to detail is inconsistent.

I'd stick with Wasserman.

That's because on Nov. 6th he had 59 million votes. He didn't seem to notice that votes are STILL being counted.

Why is there a 4% difference from the immediate % to now?

Is it because the late count is more honest?
