I want to love this country.

I've never been a strong "nationalist." I'm sorry, but...I've never felt the wave of patriotism at the flag or national anthem (though I do love "America the Beautiful" and wish IT were our national anthem instead of a paean to violence&quot .

There are things I do "love" here, but as a whole, especially right now, I am more terrified (and disgusted!) than anything.

Of course, this is not universal. The things I have always admired here - our Bill of Rights (violated and hypocritical in practice, though it has been), our diversity through immigration, our big-heartedness in times of natural disaster. ... these are so well articulated by President Obama. How can a country that elected him twice by huge margins be where it is now with 40+% supporting a fascist vulgar dictator? It's hard for me to look some of my neighbors in the eye! I did love us when we elected him.

Anyway, hopefully on Tuesday we will elect our first woman President in a landslide. If so, I will certainly come closer to
loving our country.

are made of. How millions can not see what a fascist pig con artist he is. It's astounding. Is this what Americans really want? Have they become that brainwashed? Trump, represents the true face of the GOP!

I feel sick in my stomach when I think about how a vulgar, no nothing scam artist has conned "nearly" half of the American people. It makes me question...are we this gullible? Are we this ill-informed? I look forward to a Hillary win by a healthy margin to restore my faith in this country.

Look at the climate change deniers and those who can't seem to do anything without praying about it and having an authoritive person make their decisions for them.

we produce some amazing people and we do some amazing things. the world is a better place for the leadership and the values in America has stood for over many many years. I do not concede american-ness to the villainous fools who wrap themselves in the flag.
