So we could have a national recount and pronounce everything fine -- but the states that actually flipped the election wouldn't be included.

to reflect the growing vote count, so the final exit polls closely match the outcome.

Exit polls that weren't supposed to be released early in the day were leaked, and the results, based on incomplete data didn't match results based on more complete data?
