Don't get mad at Trump and his enablers: Get even in 2017 and 2018.

There are 38 governors races between now and this time in 2018.

Here's a list of Governor seats we can plausibly pick up between now and 2018 (states that were at least close in 2016):

2017:
New Jersey (FU Chris Christie)

2018:

Arizona
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Iowa
Maine
Maryland
Michigan
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Mexico
Vermont
Wisconsin

We only have a few tough races to defend--Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Colorado, maybe Connecticut.

The states are our best line of defense against a tyrannical federal government. Resistance begins now. Let's play offense.

Sandoval is a fairly moderate Republican who raised taxes to support education in one of the most poorly funded states in the nation. I honestly thought he was going to get a VP nomination, and believe he's on the short list for 2020.

The state is getting bluer -- and Clinton still won here -- but the governorship here will be tough.

elections.

But they're all doable (I left off the ones that are likely out of reach, like Charlie Baker in MA and Kasich in OH).

We'll see how the Trumplash plays out.

Sandoval is far from the worst R governor in the country, I'll agree--I'd trade him for Snott Walker or Ick Scott.
