Stein got enough votes in Michigan and Wisconsin to flip those states,

if her votes had gone to the only other progressive in the race, Hillary Clinton.

For Hillary to have won PA (assuming the vote counts were correct), she would have also needed some of Johnson's votes.

I wonder if any of the Johnson or Stein voters are having buyer's regret now.

http://www.ibtimes.com/election-2016-results-did-gary-johnson-jill-stein-cost-hillary-clinton-election-2446589

Trump won Pennsylvania with a total of 2,912,941 votes compared to Clinton’s 2,884,705, a difference of 68,236 votes. Johnson took more votes than the difference by himself, receiving 2.4 percent of the state, or 142,653 votes, but Stein received just 0.8 percent, or 48,912 votes.

Though Michigan's official vote tally awaits approval from the AP, Trump appears to have taken the state and its 16 electoral votes by less than a half-percent, receiving only 11,423 more votes than Clinton. Johnson won far more of the state’s votes than that, closing out with 173,023 votes, while Stein received 50,690.

The margin was also slim in Wisconsin (11 electoral votes), with Trump winning by only 27,257 votes, receiving 1,409,467 to Clinton’s 1,382,210. Stein alone got more votes than Trump’s margin, receiving 30,980 votes, while Johnson received 106,442 votes.

2. Maybe she and Bill Weld are regretting their boost to Trump. I'm sure Weld is,

based on things he was saying in the last couple months. He really hates Trump.

Maybe Stein is feeling a bit remorseful; or maybe she's just trying to raise the profile of her party.

who (like the Berniebots, Sarandon, et al) all poisoned the younger voters against "establishment Dems", which in no small part contributed to putting Trump and his fascist goons in power.

And still, we would've won easily if not for Comey's violation of the Hatch Act, which rocked the election with only 11 days to go.

for Trump, it's not entirely sure they should, any more than the write-in voters or ones who left it blank. Or didn't even show up. Shame them a little, I suppose, but heap the primary blame on the ignorant masses who directly voted for Trump.

This odd system is the one we have, and it has worked well. Most of the the time.

"President Trump"-- I don't think I'll ever be able to say that without gagging, or have a little tear in my eye.

If a voter is so pissed off they are voting for 3rd party or doing write-ins.....I seriously doubt they have any regrets. They are voting that way for a reason.

You can't remove a candidate from a ballot and then suggest all those voters will go to someone else. It simply doesn't work that way.

7. Yeah, I can suggest that . If they were going to go to the trouble of voting,

and another progressive wasn't on the ballot, they might have voted for Hillary -- we'll never know.

9. In 2012 Stein got 7,665 votes in Wisconsin

Thats the hard core green base in Wisconsin. Those people will never vote Dem. That leaves 23,315.

Thats not enough to put Clinton over the top.
