As Sec of State she would have to sign off that agreement/treaty while hearing ka-ching, ka-ching in her ears.
Also, I'm sure there will be easier battles for President Obama to win.
Edit: Not to mention the fact that her oil/financial interests could influence her policy with OPEC nations.

(25,415 posts)I think Kerry is a much better choice, though I hate how the Repubs tried to make an issue out of Benghazi with Rice when there was nothing there.

(8,515 posts)There were a lot of questions about those when he ran for President; though I think they explained most or changed the subject or something. The big money is the Mrs. Kerry's anyway.

Now Hagel is up for SecDef just as Rice withdraws... That's not coincidence.
