The Republicans, given a chance to simple agree among themselves on what they would propose or accept, have failed to come up with anything.

The table has been folded up and packed away.

And take chained CPI off the table while putting on the table an increase in the wage cap for Social Security.

He needs to put the 14th amendment on the table, whether he actually plans to invoke it or not. In exchange for not provoking a Constitutional crisis on the 14th amendment, make the GP agree to a better debt limit process that doesn't allow them to take hostages every 6 months.

The guy has no balls. God I miss people like LBJ.
