snipit:

"Phelps has run in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but has never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15 percent of the vote in 1998.[30] In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31 percent of the vote.[31] Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993[32][33] and 1997."

On the bright side, we don't have to claim Ann Coulter though. That has to count for something.

Nice try, Fox-PAC. Because Phelps ran as a Democrat for city council 30 years ago, that makes him "left wing." Forget he supported Reagan, both Bushes & McCain. Idiots.

Apparently they are referring to the Dixiecrats, all of whom are Republicans now.

For example Westboro was one of the major figures in the Civil Rights (women and minorities) push which is despised by the Right.

That's why you don't hear about Phelps's alleged past in the Civil Rights Movement......he was a very minor figure, at best.

If these are Patriot Guard Riders, a loose-knit organization that protects soldiers' funerals, that group is vocally non-partisan. They welcome anyone, so long as they respect soldiers. Just FOX Nation blasting their delusional fantasies.

And Fred Phelps is as much a Democrat as Lyndon LaRouche. Some clown completely disavowed by the party.

If the WBC is a "left-wing cult", then what the hell are THEY???? Is Fox News suggesting that they (Fox News) advocate the death penalty for gays and lesbians????

Phelps is also no "Democrat".

I read the comments on the article and people were calling bs on it. I mean the WBC is neither democrat or republican. In fact, that is one thing both sides can agree on, the WBC sucks. But the fact that fox thought people would believe an anti-gay group is a left-wing cult it's just no words......
