It's not difficult, nor does it require expensive equipment.

6. That's why making your own should be outlawed

It's irrational to think it is safe to store hundreds of pounds of explosives and lead in a house. There's a reason those gun owners are slow after being exposed to all of that lead all of their lives. Gun owners are creating generations of mentally handicapped people with their dangerous hobby.

Are you going to require and end-user certificate to buy lead?

12. It would be quite easy actually to outlaw ammo

Make the commercial sale of primers and powder either illegal or extrememly regulated. Sure you could go get some coal, saltpeter, and sulfer to make your own black powder, but without primers, you would basically be limited to a musket type fo weapon.

When you make all ammo be home-reloaded (and it will end up on eBay pretty quickly) you lose all quality/safety controls with it.

have to fight a defensive war. We'd be out of ammo until the soldiers made their own.

There is a nifty little 1000-page law called DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) that you can read if you'd like...it's online in a lot of places, but the general gist is that it's illegal to process or manufacture any defense-critical supply, component, material or armament (going all the way back to refining of metals and solvents, and including screws and wire) or assemble any such component outside the United States and a very-short list of countries we're 100% certain we're never ever going to war with.

Outlaw the manufacture of ammunition. Tax it at $10 a round but exempt hunting rifles. Repeal the Second Amendment.

Any legislator who votes for this kind of CRAP is guaranteed to lose his/her seat.

In other words, you're DREAMING. This will never happen. If you want to talk about rational solutions, fine, but until then, this is ludicrous.
