Cordray was the expected superstar for the Ohio Dems for many years. He got all the endorsements from all of the newspapers when he ran for auditor*. However, he took that consumer position in the Obama government and may need to stay there.

*I think he was auditor, IIRC

Look at the problems with voting during 2012. Changes in rules by Republicans are going to throw the elections unless we start taking over.

Sure he's a good politician and he knows what republicans want to see from a democrat and he won in 2010 and 2012 in a congressional district but that's a hard trick to pull off state wide. If anyone could it's him but I'd hate to give up a congress seat to see him try.

We need either someone who is a heavy weight or someone who has background experience like Warren who can push specific issues.

Do I approve of the job that he did with Sandy? Yes.

However, in his state of the state address today, many saw him as the next Guiliani. Pretty soon everything that comes out of the guy's mouth will be a noun, a verb, and Hurricane Sandy. We need a Joe Biden on the Democratic side to point this out and make it viral.

Governing NJ is so much more than Sandy.

We need to elect a democrat for governor in VA. The dems. did well in the presidential election, but we have the screwed up congress because of losing too many state and local elections and being gerrymandered out of congressional seats.

Seems suicidal. Northern Virginians will be extremely motivated to vote against him and Obama proved that a heavy vote by Northern Virginia now carries the day for Democrats in Virginia.

The biggest question is whether Christie will win by such a landslide next year that he turns both houses of the State Legislature Republican.
