Naomi Judd: Ashley still mulling Senate run

Naomi Judd says her daughter Ashley still isn’t sure if she’ll seek Mitch McConnell’s Kentucky Senate seat in 2014.

“OK, here’s the deal. As of right now, she doesn’t know,” the country singer told Larry King in a web interview published Monday. “I can tell you she’s very interested in changing the world. And she knows that politics unfortunately right now is one of the ways she could do that. But I made her promise that if she should make a decision, that I’m the first to know.”

Ashley, an actress and vocal Democrat, has said she’s “honored” to be considered for political office and, according to POLITICO’s Manu Raju, has been seriously exploring a possible run.

Until they told people about how she was on coal. I assume a lot of jobs and heat for the area depend on it.

Out west here, most of us are against it.

I wish she would run if she has a chance I like her. Have heard her talk on various shows.
