RIGHT-WING TALK HOST DEFENDS LANCE ARMSTRONG
I was a little bit surprised this morning to hear conservative radio talker Mike Gallagher defending Lance Armstrong. As he told about Lance's appearance on Oprah, he predictably got in some veiled shots at women, blacks, and lesbians.
I had surmised earlier that Armstrong's skill at lying would qualify him for a job in talk radio or Fox News, but didn't really expect them to jump to his defense.
Lance Armstrong may have caused his own cancer with the illegal drugs he took and then failed to use his experience as an object lesson to others. Kind of like the deal with Rush Limbaugh and deafness.
Lance Armstrong's cancer survival was an inspiration to lots of people. Do his cheating and lying make him a hero to conservative pundits?

(23,664 posts)He used to be on I think KFBK in Sacramento and I remember listening to him and laughing the whole time. He always seemed to be about a day behind the latest right wing talking points and a bit off the mark when expressing those points. And he'd get outraged over things that nobody else seemed to give a crap about. Like he wanted really bad to be the new rush limbaugh and was trying too hard.
He was so stupid the show was actually funny. I'm sort of amazed that he still has a job but it sounds like he's still out of step with the rest of wing nut radio. Who else gives a shit about Lance Armstrong?
He is heard in Cleveland on a small, conservative-talk/"Christian" station owned by Salem Communications.

When you are a "conservative" you are the victim, just part of the privilege of being in the club.
