The National Rifle Association released a video Tuesday calling President Obama an "elitist hypocrite" for being skeptical of armed guards in schools when his daughters receive armed Secret Service protection every day.

"Are the president's kids more important than yours?" a narrator asks. "Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their schools? Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but he's just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security."

4. Saw the add on Morning Joe today. Mica was almost in tears stating that these people are "sick

in the head". Joe replied with "what is wrong with these people"and "the NRA needs new leaders". It was a sick and disgusting add. Where was the outcry when W. stated he was for an assault weapon ban??

GWBush didn't want an assault weapons ban, renewed or otherwise. He just said he 'supported' it since he knew full well it had absolutely no chance to get renewed, & he could squawk that he supported some gun control efforts (or really that he hadn't opposed all of them).
.. dick cheney was, is, one of the greatest rabid gunnuts in washington dc. You think cheney - some call the phantom president - advised gwbush to really support the AW ban? a phony show of support which was a calculated risk to appease the gun control crowd - most of us saw thru it.

he seemed not to appreciate the difference between the security needs for the President of the United States of America (and his family) and the average Joe and Jane on the street, particularly given the level of anger and hate that the right-wing has fostered against President Obama and his family since he took office.
