I think she just decided before she was going to describe emotionally the four dead Americans, the heroes, and use that as her trump card, the senator tells BuzzFeed.

WASHINGTON The Republican senator whose aggressive line of questioning prompted an eruption Wednesday from Hillary Clinton during a hearing on the Benghazi attacks suggested her angry outburst was just a dodge.
Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson pressed Clinton on why her office wasn't able to immediately discover whether the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya were executed by terrorists or spontaneous protesters. He repeatedly asked her why she didn't pick up the phone that day and find out the facts, to which Clinton eventually responded sharply, "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. What difference, at this point, does it make?"
"I'm not sure she had rehearsed for that type of question," Johnson told BuzzFeed Wednesday afternoon, after the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing. "I think she just decided before she was going to describe emotionally the four dead Americans, the heroes, and use that as her trump card to get out of the questions. It was a good way of getting out of really having to respond to me."
He said it was clear, at other points during the hearing, that Clinton was working off a set of talking points, but that his questions "got under her skin" because "they're just so common sense."

(35,699 posts)If the facts were that well known they could have prevented the attack. It is a stupid question and Hillary Clinton could not have possibly "rehearsed for that kind of question" because she assumes that Senators are not going to ask stupid questions.

(24,422 posts)She should've picked up the phone and told the person on the other end just to tell her SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Maybe she should have even told the other person to LIE if they had to!

This guy makes Bush looks the the President of the local chapter of Mensa.

(57,936 posts)and Hillary Clinton on September 12, 2012. Hillary Clinton clearly stated that there were heavily armed attacks. The lack of security was a budget issue, not a negligence issue.
In addition, after watching a little of Johnson's questioning this morning and remarks made by other Republicans about Benghazi, I am amazed at how little Republicans understand about diplomacy. Of course, Clinton was very cautious in her statements about the Benghazi attacks while they were being investigated. She needed the support and assistance of the authorities in Libya. She had to avoid embarrassing or threatening those in charge in that country. She was protecting the safety and security of the remaining Americans in the country.
No wonder we got into two wars and lost the hearts and minds of so many in the world during the Bush years. A guy like Johnson has no clue how things work in diplomacy.
I now understand why President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize nearly instantly when he took office. It was the world's way of saying "Thank you" for ridding us of that obnoxious guy Bush who doesn't understand how diplomats are supposed to function in the world.

(3,003 posts)We lost Sen. Russ Feingold to this jackass and the state (Wisconsin) elected Scott Walker governor. All because PROGRESSIVES STAYED HOME on Nov. 2, 2010.
WE CAN NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.

You are right, Ronnie. The little lady couldn't handle the questioning so she got emotional to avoid answering the questions from the tough and virile men, typical female reaction. See ladies, that's why women shouldn't be in power. We are ruled by our emotions. Excuse me while I go bake some cookies and worship at the feet of my man.
I hope that Hillary does run in 2016 and one of these asshats is the Republican nominee. She'll eat him alive and spit him out.
