2014 US Senate Election- Republicans need to win at least 7 Democratic Held Seats up in 2014.

Republican targets are AK,AR,CO,IA,LA,MI-if OPEN,MN,NH,NC,SD,and WV. =-11D
Democrats are favored to win CO,MN,and NH. =-8D
Plus AR,LA,and NC= -5D
AK,IA,and MI-OPEN are in the Tossup Democratic collumn. -2D
SD is likely to go either assuming Johnson-D runs again.
WV is a goner but it gets replaced by a possible open GOP seat in ME.
Republican guide to regaining control of the US Senate is WV,SD,AK,IA(Latham),MI-OPEN(Engler),Plus AR and LA or LA and NC.

till after the midterms. Not the ethical thing to do for the short term, but it is the strategic thing to do long term.

Current Senate is 55-45. Six pickups give them 51 and control.

My guess is picking up Rockefeller's open WV seat and picking off Pryor, Hagen, and Begich will be the easy part for them. After that it gets tougher for them, for the wrong reasons; the other Blue Dogs are corporatist tools and therefore have deep-pocketed backers who may save them. I'm cautiously optomistic about retaining teh Senate, especially if we pick up Maine, but it'll be a razor-thin margin.

Hagan and Rockefeller's seats might be more in play though.
