Conservative Group Gets Jump On 'Primarying' Republicans In 2014

Conservative Group Gets Jump On 'Primarying' Republicans In 2014

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., is among those Republicans the conservative Club for Growth is looking to "primary" in 2014.

Live in a solidly Republican congressional district but think your member of Congress isn't conservative enough? Well, the Club for Growth has a new website for you.

PrimaryMyCongressman.com targets "moderate Republicans" who have "joined with Democrats to pass liberal policies that harm economic growth," the group says.

While many Republicans are actively looking for ways to expand the party by reaching out to a wider audience, the club is looking for ways to rid the party of those it believes have strayed too far.

Specifically, Club for Growth notes that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney won at least 55 percent of the vote in 159 congressional districts but some of those districts are currently represented (in the club's view) by a "Republican In Name Only."

The site explains its rationale: "There's no reason a heavily Republican district should have a R.I.N.O. representing them in Congress."

After all, should a solidly blue congressional district be represented by a corporatist DLCer or a progressive? I think most of us would agree the latter. Its time we did this.

The best would be, if possible, if the extremists in the republican party was able to kill of them selfs - it is already a little civil war brewing in the Republican Party as it is - it is probably best, to let them continue to brew that sentiment - about people who is republican just in name - and let them devour them selfs, one by one..

It looks, more and more like the extremist, whoever they are, want to "cleanse" the Republican Party, for everything moderate - from what I have been reading here at DU and other places - and it also look like they are pretty good at attacking everyone who want to work - with the President of the United States - and the Democratic Party... They will better let the country fall off the cliff, rather than work together, to build a stronger, better and more livable USA..

What they want - is to ruin US, and destroy the whole fabric who once made USA one of the strongest country's in the world.. No country in the world, could tear USA apart - but the "enemies" inside US, the extreme right, and the extreme "conservatives" have doing a far better job, in devastating USA, than any Soviet Leader could imagine when the cold war was at the worst... I guess even Joseph Stalin when he was fighting for supremacy in Europe, against Winston Churchill and Harry Truman, could not imagine, that US could rip each other apart - from within.. With the help of extremists

They might have been there all this time - but when they elected a black man - not just once - but twice, the extremist get out from the shaddow world, and is now clearly as the day.. And even then, most american seen to not being able to understand how bad it is..
