Michigan 6th District has a candidate to run against Fred Upton

Link to a short piece in the Kalamazoo Gazette

Mike O'Brien seems like a candidate who can appeal to voters in this district. We've always had a lot of Dems who vote for Upton because he's "a nice guy"
Seriously, unbelievable how hard it's been to get Dems to vote for anybody other than Upton. It's critical that all the Kalamazoo Democratic voters support O'Brien because the rest of the district is rural/red.
I'm cautiously optimistic.

Great to see the Rethugs have a primary there, hope the victor emerges very bruised and bloody.

I'm pulling for you from up here in the gargantuan (31 counties!) 1st district!

Julie
