We dodged a bullet in the race to fill Kerry's seat!

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/senate-races/285861-ann-romney-gop-never-approached-me-about-kerrys-seat

Ann Romney denied rumors Sunday that the Republican Party had approached her about running for Secretary of State John Kerry's former Senate seat.

"No, they didn't approach me," Romney said. "I think there was a thought, 'Oh, wouldn't that be fun for Ann to do that.' I'm like, 'did anyone want to consider how fun it would be for me to do that?'"

It would have been fun for us!

Her star had risen during the presidential election, when she was seen as a major asset to husband Mitt Romney's campaign.

Which is nonsense--ol multiple choice Mitt is still incredibly flexible--he can take two positions at the same time.

"Her star had risen during the presidential election, when she was seen as a major asset to husband Mitt Romney's campaign."

I can't remember a major party presidential nominee spouse who did so little to improve the prospects of her husband. Indeed, in my estimation, Anne Rmoney was probably a net minus.

how does she know they were thinking "Oh, wouldn't that be fun for Ann to do that."?

Is in the process of doing her own memoir and going to put in what she thinks others were thinking about her?

I wouldn't have counted her out immediately. Imagine what say 50 million (not even 1/5 of the Romney fortune) would buy in MA.

If she wants to throw away her money, okay, fine, have fun, Ann. I doubt she would run though after the shellacking her hubby took. But I wouldn't be surprised if she got Sarah's old job on Fox.

Imagine how much worse it'd be after she was PERSONALLY rejected!
