One day before the South Carolina primary, actor and martial arts extraordinaire Chuck Norris endorsed Newt Gingrich for president, saying he believes that Gingrich can both "return America to her glory days" and "outwit" President Obama.

(339 posts)I wish these assholes would be more specific when they use this term.
I think Mr. Norris is overestimating Newt's intelligence. Even if Newt was the most brilliant man on earth he still wouldn't be able to turn back time to the 80's when Mr. Norris was actually relevant.
Relive your glory days playing "WOW".

(21,478 posts)I bet Chuck Norris would be a hoot trying to play "Jeopardy." Maybe he could go up against Ted Nugent and Jon Voight. Eveyone who tried to watch would have their IQs lowered 10 points by the experience.

(124 posts)Chuck says that everyone who fails to think and act in strict accordance with his ultra-conservative, ultra-Christian contraints is an egocentric, headstrong killjoy. But then he turns around and says that "public opinion" is a reliable indicator of what's true and what isn't when it happens to agree with what he believes. In other words he wants it both ways.
He's the typical republican and it's due to people like him that Bush was elected and also because of people like him who ensure that these people stay in those positions because that makes it easy for him to shift blame from those who benefit from oppression to those who suffer from it. They spend all their time devising ever more fickle ways to identify political and religious groups that are his political enemies and re-label them as "enemies of the state" or "tyrannical leftists" in order to justify operations against them. There is no place in this country where we are safe from the rethuglican cultists, no place where we are not targeted for hatred and attack.
We just have to keep on fighting harder until the far-right is defeated.
