We can hope: http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2013/05/06/tea-party-has-had-it-with-gop.html
Snip:"Feeling betrayed by the Republican Party and its leaders, tea party groups in Ohio appear to be uniting and moving toward either a split from the GOP or action to punish Republican candidates who fail ideological purity tests.
A series of events, culminating with the April 26 election of Matt Borges as chairman of the Ohio Republican Party, spurred a flurry of meetings and conference calls among tea party leaders last week to plot a course of action heading into the 2014 statewide election.
Options being discussed, according to Seth Morgan, policy director for Americans for Prosperity, range from breaking off into a third party, to an insurrection (within the Republican Party) and everything in between.
The Dispatch is a reliably Reep rag, so this is worth reading (click the link) in its entirety.

(66,434 posts)And there are stupid, crazy Teabaggers.
But there aren't enough of the latter to enable a split from the repuke party. Deep inside their worried, atrophied lizard brains, they know if they form a third party, both they and the repukes are done on the national scene. They may still be able to bring the juice on a regional level, but not the national stage.
So as much as I would love for the Teabaggers to crazy themselves into irrelevance, their animal cunning and instinct for survival will override their bone-stupidity on this one.

(12,712 posts)Is it becoming their Frankenstein's monster? Naw, even Frankie, (with the brain of a criminal) had a little compassion and some realistic fears: "FIRE BAD!"
So, are the zombies going to eat each other in the implosion? Is ALEC done with that power tool?
Keywords: ideological purity
What we don't need is more leaning towards ideology and the legislation of morality, especially when the least amongst us are of little or no concern when it comes to housing, food, health, etc. Wedge-issues still subvert the real issues of general welfare and compassion.
