Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin

Could Gov. Fallin Be Considered For VP Role?

OKLAHOMA CITY -- An ABC News report suggests that Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin is among many top Republicans who could be asked to join the Mitt Romney presidential ticket later this year.

If Romney selects Mary Fallin as his VP nomination then his wife better keep a close eye on her husband. Fallin got caught with one of her Highway Patrol "guards" when she was Lt. Gov.

I think her affair with that Highway Patrolman is going to keep her off the VP list. Alexander Apr 2012 #5

and is not seeking re-election...I think it will be Hutchenson.

On edit: I really don't think it will be another Governor on the ticket.

...she would be an interesting proposition for Mitt, but it's not clear she'll accept given that Romney is likely a losing bet.

I am betting they go with someone who is from a swing state, like Chris Christie. or Rob Portman.

Plus, she doesn't exactly come from a swing state. The Republicans always win Oklahoma by huge margins. If not for those two factors, I'd agree she would be a likely choice.

I think Romney's going to want someone with a squeaky-clean personal life from a swing state. I think he's most likely going to pick someone like Rob Portman, Kelly Ayotte or Marco Rubio - although I think Rubio's own past Mormonism will sink that idea.
