Many of us thought Sestak had the senate race in the bag by late tuesday night 2012, leading I think the entire race until the last hour or so when toomey caught him, won by a few points, a shocker to me. Pennsylvania electoral map shapes somewhat a rough 'T' applied onto the rectangular state, where the T forms republican areas, while the southeastern philadelphia & southwestern pittsburg form democratic areas. The broad top of the T borders western new york & the central stem also rural repubs.

That's one fewer big-name candidate with a large war chest causing havoc in the Democratic primary, and it probably makes life easier for frontrunner Allyson Schwartz as well—which means it makes life even rougher for GOP Gov.
