Jersey boy Jon Stewart slams Christie, uses Christie video

About 24 hours after we heard about a NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that showed Gov. Christie had support from both sides of the political fence, his decision to have an expensive special election to replace Sen. Frank Lautenberg showed he has growing criticism from both sides too. Radio talker Rush Limbaugh was beside himself. Former Democratic Committee Chairman Howard Dean called it a “screw-up.” But the unkindest cut of all came from Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show” who grew up a stone’s throw from the N.J. Statehouse. Stewart said his grandfather came to this country where he worked day and night in “the pizza fields” of Jersey to support his family. He showed an old clip of Christie condemning a special election for $10 million then an updated one with Christie proposing a special election costing an estimated $12 million. Here it is:
