Kate Obenshain was also an "appointee of Governors George Allen and Jim Gilmore on the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia," and "Senator George Allen's Chief of Staff for the remainder of his term in the U.S. Senate following the Senator's loss." She was speaking at the "Faith and Freedom Coalition" loony bin in Washington, DC yesterday.

It's amazing how "free thinking" the right is and all their institutions?
I wonder does Liberty University pre-cursor their Biology classes and the exclusion of evolution with (what we are about to say is considered bullshit by most scientists) the way my Evolution class at George Mason University (a great class by the way) was began with the teacher (great guy, brilliant) telling us that "others had their beliefs about evolution".
What galls these people is in areas where any progressive thought is allowed to flow (in ADDITION to right wing thought)...places like Hollywood, academia, entertainment/musicians...these folks are treated with contempt by the right. Forget the fact that there are a MYRIAD of right wing singers, don't let Laura Ingarahm stop from publishing a book saying "shut up and sing"...
People like Obenshain hold great disdain for higher education NOT because they 'indoctrinate', but rather they don't indoctrinate what SHE thinks they should be promoting.
The reason these institutions are castigated as "indoctrination camps" is an attempt to discredit anything that permeates from them the right doesn't like, which in itself is ... well, indoctrination.
IF these institutions really were brain washing students, then obtaining a bachelors degree would mean a virtual lock on college educated people as a voting demographic by the Democrats. That IS NOT THE CASE. Just as many people with BA or BA degrees vote Republican than Dem. So what gives? YES, for post-graduate stuff that's when you typically find more progressive voting patterns, but those are fewer.
