Ed Shultz exposing the raiding of Post Office funds

Zero, not one penny of your tax dollars goes to the Post Office.
It's fully funded by purchase of stamps and related

Since 2006 when the legislation passed they've had to fund their health insurance going
forward at 6 billion a year.

Money that's been collected since 2006 - is it going to where it's supposed to go?
The law require prefunding of health insurance going out 75 years
But now they are overfunded and this money has been collected but they
say to PO "we can't give you back the overages, it's against the law"

Congress doesn't want to raise the debt limit - so they raid the funds.

** And for this CA has lose our beautiful WPA Post Offices!

repukes..

Going to ours is a bi-weekly ritual. It will be closing soon and with it goes a treasure. If they put a Starbucks in it I will be out there with a picket sign!

It was supposed to be closed in January but for some reason it's not yet.

No one knows anything. It's probably just a delay while they get the super ugly place prepared for the move of the rest of the employees. We can't fight to keep it as a historical landmark because it's Federal. It will go to the highest bidder and up until now it's been Diane Feinstein's husband brokering these sales.. making a bundle.

they keep fed to blindly follow their ideology of greed, control and the dismantling of our democracy. They know that privatizing will one day render elections irrelevant. There is no democracy left.

In retrospect the totalitarian USSR kept these people in check. Ironic.

Imagine somebody living well, paid well being told their whole existence was built on an illusion, and that their very beliefs were actually destroying their own country. A hard pill to swallow. True patriots will come around and be willing to accept the ugly truth, but in doing so, they will have to give up their own selfish existence of wealth and what they have been brainwashed into thinking as "success".

WAY more expensive. If it is able to get there at all.

Call your representatives.

I am a proud retired member of NALC branch #47 in Colorado. So glad to be out of the stressful environment, but I am worried about my friends.
