Sen. Ted Cruz sings ‘Amazing Grace’ to tune of ‘Gilligan’s Island’ theme

By David Ferguson

This, ladies and gentlemen, is only reason No. 437 why it is highly unlikely that Ted Cruz will ever be president. Happy Fourth of July from Raw Story!

No matter how bad you expect this video to be, it’s much, much worse.

All the women pretending to be men in that scene were male actors.

I noticed (for the first time ever, believe it or not) my reflection on my phone's screen. I was shocked to see the ugly scowl I had on my face. Not that it didn't convey exactly what I was thinking and feeling. But damn, it was not a pretty sight.

Now sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fa-ateful trip.
That started fro-om this tropic port,
Aboard this ti-iny ship.

The mate was a might sailin' man,
The ski-iper bra-ave and sure.
Five pa-ssengers set sail that day-,
For-- a three hour tour.

An amazingly versatile song is The Gilligan Island Theme.

The "and the rest" part is the best. It took them years to realize they could fit in "The professor and Mary Anne" just fine.

...Imagine the uproar from the right wing if a Democratic Senator had done that. the GOP would have demanded a Congressional hearing.

I hope he comes to the same sort of end as Tailgunner Joe...though more quickly, to avoid the damage to our country.

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.
