Poll: Tea Party loves John Boehner, everyone else hates him.

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2013/07/30/tea-party-followers-give-boehner-a-thumbs-up/

In a survey completed last week, Mr. Boehner received a positive rating from 46% of self-described tea-party Republicans, while just 15% gave him a negative rating. That’s considerably better than his standing among non-tea-party Republicans, who gave him a 26% positive rating and a 21% negative rating.

Among Americans overall, meanwhile, Mr. Boehner is deeply in negative territory. Among all those surveyed, just 18% gave him a positive rating, while 36% gave him a negative one.

He's earned his respective approval ratings with both Teahadists and non-Teahadists.

That hardly means the tea party’s suspicions have dissipated, however. A plurality of tea-party followers—48%—say Republicans in Congress are too quick to give in to Mr. Obama. By contrast, two-thirds of non-tea-party Republicans think their party is either striking the right balance or being too inflexible.

Those dynamics figure to be important again in the fall, when Mr. Boehner and his fellow House Republicans have to figure out how to handle disagreements with Democrats in the Senate and the White House over government spending next year and on the question of whether to raise the government’s debt ceiling.
