If the Republicans keep on insisting on defunding the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, shouldn't there actually be one?

(8,492 posts)Didn't one of the heads of ACORN attempt to start up a new organization? I believe it was a woman and she ran into all sorts of obstruction. That could have been a GOP induced nightmare, though.

(20,176 posts)Part of the happiness I'd get out of restarting ACORN with non-public funding is the conniption the GOP would have over their thwarted ability to do anything about its resurrection. They can't defund what they don't fund, they can't disband what they have no say in the formation of.
It's less sweet if it's a rose by any other name.
