Republicans are working towards a completely PRIVATIZED country

What people don't realize is that ALL services will be provided by companies under a Republican regime. The local library will be owned by a company where you will pay large fees for borrowing books. People will pay for each site they visit on the internet as well as as the monthly charges to the provider and to the backbones services. Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security will be gone. In the Republicans' eyes there is no need for local government government. Private companies will collect taxes and fees, process permits etc. They will use federal and state government to push their own agenda to control the people even more. If you discuss this with people they say it will never happen but Republicans are good at doping the public especially if they get control of the House, Senate and presidency.

The 2014 elections are extremely important. What will you differently in 2014 to make a difference?

This is part of their plan and reason for killing the government. The GOP idea: Why offer a government service when someone can get richer doing the same thing.

How they so desire a monopoly on everything, most esp. on violence.

Other than offering to help out on speaking out against Obama's plan to phase out Fannie and Freddie through more privatization, I am not sure what else to do.

I live in a solid true Blue state, and I am forced to purchase auto insurance from a private company.

As of next year I will be forced to buy health insurance from a private company.

It's a shame that so many people don't realize the importance of required insurance coverage until they end up paying for the mistake(s) of an uninsured individual.

Here is the difference between health insurance and auto insurance - you can always choose not to drive. You cannot choose to never get sick, to never get injured, to never get old. When you don't buy auto insurance, you affect other individuals.
The comparison between auto and health insurance is bogus.
And the reason it is bogus is the exact reason we should have single payer. In the long run, everyone will need health care.
I hate being forced to buy health insurance from a private company, too, don't get me wrong - but comparing it to having to buy auto insurance just clouds the issue.
Come to think about it, maybe national auto insurance is not a bad idea - get rid of the rip-offs that affect the poor, charging more for bad credit scores and such.

And you'll pay a fee each time you take your dog for a walk in the park.

If you fire service bill isn't paid up you will have to watch your house burn to the ground.
Same with the police.
Call 911 and they'll have to check your payment record before they send a cop out to catch the guy breaking into your house.

private companies do not exist to provide goods and services out of the goodness of their hearts. They exist to make money. It is only a matter of time before people realize what they have only hurt themselves in their wallet.

I see what is going on in Oklahoma and it does not look pretty in the long run.

The problem is not 'small businesses' who get a gov contract. The problem is the contracts aren't bid on properly and the Federal AND State Govs- accept a rip-off 'profit' like the $10 dollar cupcake.

A lot is because of 'buddie deals', no-bid contracts, some contractors(Haliburton cheney empires) are to large and push out REAL small businesses from contracts.

Downright corruption and fraud- by the large contractors,(corruption the O admin has uncovered)...costs taxpayers billions more.

I don't know what the solution could be to have local, small, family run businesses become the backbone of America again.
