Looks like Peter King wants to run for president

And it looks like Rand Paul is his big opponent.

Speculation about a possible Peter King run for the White House increased over the weekend when the Seaford Republican visited New Hampshire.

King has indicated a willingness to run for the presidenecy in recent weeks, but reports say he has not conducted polling or started courting donors.

But he has been critical of another potential Republican candidate, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Anything to complicate the GOP primaries and to make the big campaigns on their front waste cash is a good thing...

Who's his base? Freepers don't like him because he acted like a human being during Sandy, and primary voters will get insane xenophobia from any primary candidate. King doesn't bring anything unique to the table.

with an acute case of analopia*.

* Analopia: a disease usually prevalent in Republicans where the optic nerve gets entangled with the rectal nerve, resulting in a shitty outlook on life.

But get killed in the south, and the west. Money is the most immediate problem, because deep pocket donors will go with proven anti union guys like Scott Walker. Evangelicals will break to Rick Perry, the lunatic fringe to Rand Paul. Anybody left will be split between Rubio, Christie, and King.
