unless the other NJ Democrats come to their senses Tuesday and elect Rush Holt in the primary.

But he'll be only slightly better than Lonegan.

And should Booker win the primary I will vote for him in the general. I've met Booker a few times and seen him speak. I have nothing against him, but I know what I'm getting with Pallone (who was my congressman until redistricting).

I disagree about Lonegan. That guy is looney tunes and would be a part of the Mike Lee/Ted Cruz faction in the senate, not a Scott Brown type. Way too conservative for the state he wants to represent.

Rush Holt would be terrific. Not at all happy about Booker's apparent lock on this. The Harold Ford analogy is unfortunately apt. Sigh.

politicians need a healthy ego to thrive, his is out of whack. The endless self promotions are off-putting and worrisome. Nevertheless could make an okay senator, but I think someone else could be better.

against him. Oy! 'He's just like Obama...blah blah blah...' It won't be long before he demands to see Booker's birth certificate and transcripts.

ETA.. I saw on google that he was dating former supermodel, Veronica Webb... on occasion.

for the reasons you have stated. The last straw was his MTP appearance when as a surrogate for Obama he trashed the Bain Capital attacks.

I am sure Cory Booker, like all pols at this level, has personal ambitions. Name ONE politician who does not?

There's plenty of reasons not to vote for him (and I don't plan on it) but that isn't one of them.

I'm in the same position Booker is in single never married and no kids in fact I'm older than he is the problem is traditionally Presidents have been married and First Ladies have played a major role in a Presidents term.I just don't think the country is ready for a single President in the White House. Can you imagine Booker accepting the nomination at the democratic convention and after his nomination speech he's standing up there with no wife reside him

I'd say the same thing goes for an unmarried President. And yes I can imagine that. After the speech, his parents and siblings will come out to join him. Problem solved...
