Biden To Attend Fundraiser In Iowa, Key 2016 State

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden will head to Iowa next month to headline Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin's steak fry fundraiser, a key stop for aspiring presidential candidates.

The White House says Biden will speak at the Sept. 15 event. It's the latest in a string of Biden appearances with ties to critical states for primary candidates. Iowa kicks off the 2016 primary season with its first-in-the-nation caucuses.

Biden is also planning to raise money for the governor of New Hampshire, which holds the first primary, and spoke earlier this year in South Carolina, another early state. During inaugural weekend this year, he mingled with Democrats from Iowa and New Hampshire.

Biden hasn't closed the door to a third presidential campaign in 2016.

Didn't Hillary and Joe have a meeting last week? Most thought it was about Hillary2016, maybe it was about Biden2016.

A long time ago, someone here on DU submitted a post with a title something like "Sixteen who will never be president".
It was a list of senators who voted for the credit card company written bankruptcy law. Joe's name was on the list.

Of course, should he be the eventual nominee, I will vote a straight Dem ticket, but I will not be as happy as I would like.

He won't run If Hillary runs as I expext her to.

However if hillary shocks everyone and doesn't run then he will run.

I believe Biden wants to run but won't run against Hillary. If Biden runs he has my support.

Biden is too old and has too much liability. From plagiarism back in 1987, his quick-tempered, and has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth. Biden has done a lot of good for America as a senator and as vice-president, but the presidency is something that will not be added to his political resume.

It's how those 13 keys line up of the party in power stays in the White House.Hillary won't make a decision to run before she sees how those keys line up.Allan Lichtman said in a interview that Bill Clinton came to him before he decided to run about GH Bush loosing when he was 84 percent in the polls after the Iraq war.He said Clinton asked him about his 13 key prediction on Bush loosing the election that's why Bill decided to run
