Editorial: Gov. Christie should heed father's plea for medical marijuana for young patients

The father of a toddler who suffers dozens of seizures a day for lack of the medication that could help her met with the one man in a position to help his daughter.

Brian Wilson consulted not with a doctor but Gov. Chris Christie, whom he cornered at a diner during one of the governor’s re-election campaign stops.

In that face-to-face and emotional meeting, Wilson asked Christie to sign legislation removing roadblocks for children benefit from medical marijuana.

“Please don’t let my daughter die, governor,” Wilson said after Christie promised a decision by today saying that he would do what he thinks is best for the people of the state.

... he wants it rewritten 'to include only children' and not adults 'to be allowed' to have the edible marijuana.

So, after the state legislature rewrites the bill and passes it he said he will sign it.

But I would guess that in a year or two or whenever the law will be changed to be more sensible - let's hope.
